Past Projects
This page is dedicated to projects that I have taught in my classes. On each page I attempt to communicate what we did during the project, show the process through student work, and include images and videos to demonstrate the product. Click below to explore one of my projects.
Students studied the concept of industrial design and ontological design by exploring the design of objects that define their everyday lives. Students modeled these objects of cultural significance in a Computer Aided Design (CAD) software.

In this cross-disciplinary project, students wrote and performed multi-media performances that told stories of significance. In engineering, students used a series of visual programming languages to create sounds and visuals to accompany the performances. In humanities, students wrote stories inspired by interviews and added movements to better communicate those stories.

Students created a device that manipulated sound in real time. The music was controlled digitally so that it stayed in key and on time. This meant that people of all musical abilities could use the device to create music.

At the end of the senior hallway at our school is an open space called the Senior Studio. This space is a dumping ground for unwanted furniture and sports equipment. In this project, students redesigned the space and created architectural models and digital representations of their designs.

Students used statistical analysis (primarily Chi-Squared) to comprehend results of a survey sent out to HTHCV graduates. Students explored relationships between factors such as self-confidence, distance from home, and contact with professors, with success in college and life satisfaction. Results were summarized in a statistical research report.
